I am an Assistant Professor (Aug 2025 - ) in the School of Computing at Montclair State University with a concentration on theoretical computer science and algorithms. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State University in 2025, proudly advised by Prof. Pavan Aduri and Prof. Samik Basu. I received an MS in Data Science from the University of West Florida.
I lead the Algorithmic Intelligence Lab (AIL), where our group develops rigorous, efficient algorithms for constrained submodular optimization problems and investigates their broad applications in AI, machine learning, and network science.
Theory and Algorithms: approximation algorithms, submodular optimization, evolutionary computation, algorithmic fairness, etc.
Application of submodular optimization: active learning, feature selection, recommender systems, and data summarization.
Graph Mining: community detection in complex networks and influence diffusion in social networks.
Data Science (interdisciplinary research): data modeling in structural/networked datasets, big data analysis.
